Teatime with Turtles:

Head outside for a totally turtle-tastic  tea with our terrific turtles today.    We are going on a picnic in the field and some of our turtle friends will be joining us.  There will be tea for us and tasty tidbits for the turtles.  A tisket, a tasket, a turtle in a basket; this is one picnic you will never forget!

Splish Splash, Taking a Bath

It’s BATHTIME for the animals here at EcoAdventures.  Come join us on an adventure as we scrub-a-dub-dub a few animals in the tub.  Just like you take a bath, our animals need to get cleaned up every so often and we are going to help them in this fun filled class.  Get ready to enter the SPLASH zone.  We’ll provide the bubble bath; you can bring your rubber ducky!

Time for Toys

We all LOVE to play with our toys right?  Well you aren’t the only ones!  Animals love toys too.  Animals actually need time to play (we call it enrichment).   Animals can get bored just like us, so it’s important to provide them with plenty of opportunities to PLAY.  We are going to make some fun toys/obstacles for our animals friends and let them join us for some fantastic PLAYTIME!

Knights of the Round Table

Calling all knights and fair ladies to our kingdom far, far away where the boys and girls are fearless and ready to stand up to dragons in the lair,  crocodiles in the moat, and snakes in the shrubbery.  Step back in time, become a knight or princess at our round table (dress up please) as we come face to face with with some scaly, but not scary, medieval creatures.

Dog-Gone It!

Who Done It?   Someone left a biscuit out and now it’s missing!  Who could have taken the biscuit?  Was it a slithery snake?  A crooked crocodile?   A lying lizard?  We have a big mystery on our hands.  We will look for clues here and there and everywhere.  This crook doesn’t stand a chance of getting away.  We will SOLVE this mystery and catch the cutest culprit  in town!

Bug Hug

What’s not to love about a BUG?  Come to this Bugs Galore class and find out all about bugs all around us.  They creep, they crawl, they fly and they dig.  Bugs are everywhere you go.  Some are good, some are bad, some are BIG and some are small, but here at EcoAdventures, we love them ALL.  Come bug out with us and maybe, just maybe HUG a BUG!

If You’re Happy and You Know It, Clap Your Paws!

Get ready to shake, rattle and roll in this noisy class.  We will be joining our animal friends to make some music.   How do animals make noise?  What kinds of noises do they make?  Check out their paws and see why they can’t clap their hands but they CAN shake their tails.   Make your own animal music maker and come do the hokey pokey!

Testimonial:
Jan 2017  We attended our first class today! And the kids loved it!!  There was so much for them to do. Everything kept them entertained from yoga to story time to meeting animals to crafts. The open play was awesome too! Great way to get out some energy on a chilly day in the winter. Natalie M.

2015-  Hi EcoAdventures!!

I wanted to share a story and some pictures with you as testimony of what a wonderful organization you have.

My daughter Allison (she’s 3 years old) has loved attending your Mommy and Me classes and Open Discovery times. She has learned so much!! One of the most important things she’s learned is the idea that nature is available to be explored, that it’s a wonderful thing to be curious about and to get up close and personal with it to learn more…

Since your philosophy seems to be all about encouraging children in appreciation for nature and the fascinating world it is and nurturing the idea of exploration, I thought you’d want to know your message has definitely come across loud and clear for Allison. And I also wanted to let you know I appreciate so much the wonderful things you’ve taught her and the fact you do care about her curiosity and teaching her what to do when she wonders about something – explore it! That sets up a lifetime love of learning!!

The idea of capturing a child’s imagination with a story and then translating that wonder into appreciation for the real animal in nature and all of the wonderful things there are to learn about that animal, its habitat and the world around us is pure brilliance.

Keep up the great work!!! We can’t wait to learn more!!

Sincerely,

Emily

P.S. Allison has taught rain forest yoga to all of her stuffed animals and has yoga sessions with them routinely. Most notably, she instructs her stuffed animals to roar like a lion and wake up the rain forest as Ms. Melissa and Ms. Anne have instructed her in the Mommy and Me class. This makes me smile each time I hear a giant roar from across the house!”
